Introduction: Burnout is mainly associated with important institutional and individual consequences. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of interpersonal conflicts in the relationship between job motivation and job satisfaction among nurses.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive research was a correlational study. The statistical population included all nurses (n=317) in Ali-ibn Abitaleb Hospital in Rafsanjan, Iran (2017). Based on Cochran formula, 174 people were selected using a random sampling method. Data were collected using three questionnaires (interpersonal conflict, motivation and burnout) using descriptive and inferential statistics, including correlation and regression analysis using SPSS software version 18.
Results: Pearson correlation analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between job motivation and job burnout (-0.534) and interpersonal conflict (-0.34). In addition, the results of path analysis indicated that the interpersonal conflict was the relationship between Mediates job incentives and job burnout.
Conclusion: Motivation leads to the reduction of interpersonal conflicts and burnout. Hospital officials seem to be able to reduce their burnout by creating a combination of motivational factors in nurses and a more serious follow-up of the controversy among nurses.
