English

Introduction: It is very important to identify factors that can improve people's resilience; therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of determining the role of problemsolving skills, coping strategies, and temperament in predicting the resilience of nurses in Tabriz City.
Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-correlational study, the statistical population included all the nurses (2426 people) of Tabriz City in 2019, out of which 500 people were selected using stratified random sampling method. In order to collect information, Problem Solving (Heppner and Krauskopf, 1987), Coping Strategies (Lazarus and Folkman, 1988), Temperament (Buss and Plomin, 1984) and Resilience (Conner and Davidson, 2003) Questionnaires were used. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient method and multiple regression analysis.
Results: The results showed that confidence in solving problems (r=0.468, p=0.001), tendency-avoidance style (r=0.141, p=0.001), personal control style (r=0.727, p=0.001), problem-oriented coping strategy (r=0.244, p=0.001), sociability (r=0.359, p=0.001), and activity level (r=0.136, p=0.001) have a positive and significant relationship with resilience, and there is a negative relationship between irritability (r=-0.141, p=0.001) and resilience; and the aforementioned variables have the ability to predict 23% of the variance of nurses' resilience.
Conclusion: Considering that problemsolving skills, coping strategies, and mood have the ability to predict resilience, it is suggested to provide intervention programs in order to improve the resilience of nurses.
